The closure of educational establishments and vocational training centers, because of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Angola, has brought a great challenge to Universities and Schools. After all, how to keep classes and not let students miss the School Year? The answer to this question was given to the market in May by Jupiter Development Computer, an Angolan software, and systems company that developed in record time a solution that allows the immediate implementation of Distance Learning (EaD).
Named Jupiter SIEG EaD – Innovative Solutions for Teaching and Management, the platform was created in less than two months and allows establishments of any level of education to offer EaD to employees and students. The solution works with the latest technology and enables integration with different live streaming tools such as YouTube and Zoom.
Easy to use and intuitively interfaced, Jupiter SIEG EaD brings numerous advantages for students, who are at home due to the closure of schools. Classes can be viewed on any device with a cable or 3G internet connection. There is an attendance list control, file sharing and submission of exams and exams for teacher evaluation.
Teachers and the Directorate of Companies, Universities, and Schools have access to integrate Big Data dashboards to facilitate the analysis of students' use of the platform and automated reporting, without the need to fill out forms. The solution is installed in the Cloud, without the need for high investments in infrastructure in the establishment.
“As soon as we realized that the fight against the pandemic in our country would be treated with the seriousness it deserves, we knew that the closure of schools would be inevitable. We then mobilized our teams to develop a solution to this new reality. In just under two months, the new product has been validated in all process instances of our Software Factory and is now available to the market,” says Fernando Favini, Jupiter's IT Director.
